Call for Applications: Joint PhD Program in Economics (42nd Cycle)

Applications are officially open for the joint PhD Program in Economics, jointly offered by the Department of Economics and Management at the University of Pavia and the Department of Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods at the University of Milan.
This program offers a highly stimulating research environment, extensive international exposure, and the opportunity to engage with leading faculty across two of Italy’s top institutions for economics and quantitative methods.
Funding and Scholarships
For the upcoming academic year, the program is offering five fully-funded scholarships:
- 4 General PhD Grants
- 1 Specific Grant funded by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) dedicated to the research topic: "Use of Statistical–Econometric Models for the Analysis of Population Health Data and Registry Data".

- Online Interviews: July 17, 2026
- Publication of Results: By July 21, 2026
- Program Begins: October 1, 2026
